- Our Sweet Potato Flour complements recipes containing chocolate and spices and works great in bread, pasta, muffins, pancakes, cookies and sauces or as a thickener.
- Our Sweet Potato Flour has a natural sweetness. You may need to reduce the amount of sugar used in your recipes by up to 50%.
- When used as a flour blend don’t use more than 25% Healthier Way Sweet Potato Flour. Also reduce the amount of liquid by 15% – 25% as the flour is less absorbent.
- If using the Healthier Way Sweet Potato Flour as the main or sole ingredient then use a lower temperature than you would for regular flour. For instance if baking with the flour on it’s own (not blended), use a temperature between 300 – 325°F and bake for 10-12 mins.
- Let baked goods cool before consuming as this allows the sweet potato taste to really come through.

- 1 cup Healthier Way Sweet Potato Pancake Mix
- 3/4 cup of milk or water
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp oil
Makes approximately 6 medium pancakes.
Beat together egg, milk (water) and oil. Add pancake mix and stir to combine. Allow batter to rest for 10 minutes. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto a pre-heated, medium-high, lightly oiled griddle. Cook until pancakes bubble. Turn once and cook until golden brown. Serve immediately with your favorite syrup, jam, butter … find what you like best!
